Renting a server (Money Issues)

Alright so I went to Fragnetics and checked their pricelist,
Ok here it is:

Number of people	Price
12	$55
14	$60
16	$65
20	$80
24	$95
32	$125

All prices are in Singapore Dollars and the payments are for every month

However they have a discount such as

Months	Discount
1	0%
2	0%
3	5%
6	10%
12 (1 year)	20%

We have around 24 members (Excluding one member who have not come in the forum, [Merc|LY] and all the non Merc| Members)

So that means if we rent a server with 24 members it will cost us each:
Approximately $3.96 or around $4.00 (If everyone contributes)

Teamspeak
Teamspeak is a voice chat software that is for free, however we do require a server to host it on. This could improve our communication and synchronization when we play a scrim or match.

We have around 24 members so I would suggest a 30 person Teamspeak server.
It will cost around $28 for a monthfor a 30 person Teamspeak Server

If everyone contributes it will cost us around $1.16 or $1.20 per person



So the TOTAL per person would be around $5.20 per month

However I do suggest getting the server first because it is far more important to us, so please do contribute!

Dunno lah, this is only pricelist, i never said renting one.. maybe i could rent, but then I need a $100 allowance every month leh

I'll take the 16 ppl one so that means $65 dollar a month plus $28 dollars which means $93 dollars. Walau, I go ask my guardian to do the financial stuff, but I need money from my parents every month.

dun mean to burst ur bubble or anything..but the collecting process will be troublesome and i mean the first few mths will be easy cuz every1 is all psyhc up abt it..bt after awhile..it gets harder to pay that 'mthly subscription' if u noe wad i mean..just some food for thought

Maybe we could do 1 year periods that mean we have to do less payment, is like a one time payment, much easier collectment rite.

forget abt renting a TS server...there's tons of FREE TS servers so yea, channel the resources to renting a server.

also note that number of slots is best at least more than your playing members la....

so what you guys should first do is go poll in your private forums and see how much on paper you can collect first...

those who volunteered to chip in, do your part by checking how to do the transfer....

go for the 6mnthly one for the best discount so you wont have to worry abt next month. all u need is for everyone to chip in abit la. i'm sure 5/mth is not to much to ask. unless you're like me surviving on 5 dollars per week

Thats nice guys...renting a server is a great idea. But how can i contribute...i can send money to a bank account i think cos my credit card dun work for online transfers

Check out ventrilo instead of teamspeak...maybe its free...
